Burger King’s brave short video gathered a lot of attention from both regular people and brand, it depicted a time-lapse of Whopper that gets covered in mold. It was a part of the fast-food giant anti-preservatives campaign.
BurgerFi chain, located in Florida, responded with a video criticizing Burger King for using cows that have been given steroids and synthetic growth hormones.
Aviation Gin also added to the collective response with its parody that they shared on Twitter.
Other companies reacted in a more or less neutral way.
It is not the first time Burger King created ads that got a lot of attention, but it’s too early to tell whether all the buzz will be successfully converted into profit.
