Google My Business recently brought up the announcement about changes in video and photo content policy. Now pictures and images will be reviewed before publication.
Google wants to make sure that all the content contributed by users matches the standards of quality, is relevant and does not include inappropriate materials. The Social Network states that both automatic and manual reviews will be used without providing more detailed information.
Earlier this year some companies had issues with uploading Google Posts with images, but that was due to a bug, it had nothing to do with changes in Google’s policies.
Businesses need to understand and make sure that their content complies with the new criteria added by Google. Though some of the statements in it may seem a bit vague, some of the important moments are that the content should be relevant to the location in question, should not contain screenshots or stock images, otherwise it may see its removal.
