Google’s “in this video” or “key moments” feature is now available for multiple videos in search results on your smartphone. Before that, it appeared just for one first video. Users now can also close/expand the results.
This feature is important for users because it allows them to immediately access the information they need from the video. Key moments divide video into sections, and a user can click on them in search results and go to the section they have interest in. Although it’s not as helpful for marketers as users can easily skip through, for example, pieces of branded content or product placement.
The other thing is that this feature is available for multiple videos in search can help to draw more viewers to the content. “In this video” is used for videos with timestamps provided by the author in the description. So far, it’s available for YouTube and can be accessed only on the platform.
