Instagram is going to sell ads on IGTV. Some Instagram’s biggest creators were asked to partner on in-stream advertisement tests. The participants will get a 55% share, which is similar to the rate on YouTube.
It could be Instagram’s attempt to start competing with YouTube, attract more creators, and boost activity on IGTV.
It’s hard to say now, whether their attempts will succeed, but it’s interesting to observe what will happen to IGTV and whether it will become more relevant in the future.
