Yelp Points Out Google’s ‘Self-Preferencing’ to Congress

Yelp wants Congress and Judicial Department to expand their inquiries into Google. March 10 Yelp gave its testimony in the hearing officially called “Self-Preferencing by Dominant Internet Platforms”.

Yelp’s main issue is that the major platform is violating the competition policy by favoring their own products and services. According to Yelp, Google has biased its search results in its own interests in order to attract more users to their local search service than other links on the SERP.
