From laptops and mobile devices more and more YouTube viewers are switching to watching their favorite channels on TV. The platform has seen major growth in the watch time on the TV screen.
In order to be able to target audiences who are watching on their TV, YouTube has added a couple of changes. Advertisers are now able to survey viewers who are viewing videos on their TVs.
Also, the platform has added advertisements that can be skipped for the content shown on TV sets. There were there previously, but it looks like the news has more to do with optimizing for TVs in general.
